“…However, the correlation coefficient was very low (r = −0.09), but somewhat higher and significant for free testosterone (r = −0.16). Gelhorn, Dashiell‐Aje, et al (2016) reported moderate correlations between the HIS‐Q and total testosterone (r = −0.36). Perhaps this difference between their and our results is due to the fact that they included an older sample of hypogonadal men (mean age 54.1 years), while our sample was on average younger (mean 39.6 years) and included men with a wide range of testosterone levels, from normal to hypogonadal.…”

“…For the English HIS‐Q‐SF original, Gelhorn, Dashiell‐Aje, et al (2016) have demonstrated responsiveness to testosterone substitution. This was not part of the design of the study presented here, which could be an area for future research.…”

“…Testosterone replacement therapy is a safe and effective therapy for the prevention of morbidity associated with this condition 6. Literature increasing on the use of androgenic anabolic steroids makes us think some users may develop aggression such as mood disorder, hypomania, restlessness and depressive episodes 7. It can be often seen that athletes using anabolic androgenic steroids have psychiatric symptoms and disorders.…”
