Two side-byside reports in PNAS (7,8) show that three different PRKs [PEP receptor 1 (PEPR1), EF-TU RECEPTOR (EFR), and FLAGELLIN SENSING 2 (FLS2)], involved in biotic defense interactions activated by three different ligands, are all removed from the cell surface via clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME).
