“…In the present study, we also observed that flavonoids in A. conyzoides exhibited obvious anti-inflammation effects on bacterial vaginitis in mice. To our knowledge, A. conyzoides is widely used as a traditional medicine to cure various diseases due to its anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive and antibacterial properties [20]. However, the safety of phytoconstituents in A. conyzoides is still uncertain at present.…”

“…In 2012, Rahman et al also demonstrated anti‐inflammatory and analgesic properties of A. conyzoides . A recent study with a polymethoxyflavones extract of A. conyzoides reported pronounced antinociceptive effects in mice models of acute nociception and inflammation, and the authors suggested that in part the effect was due to negatively modulating prostanoids and proinflammatory cytokine IL‐1β at peripheral and central levels . In a similar study, A. conyzoides extract was shown to inhibit leukocyte influx and protein concentration of the exudate, as well as reducing the levels of several pro‐inflammatory mediators.…”
