Abstract:Wound healing complications in irradiated tissues represent a major clinical challenge. Fistula or even major vessel rupture may occur. The injection of adipose tissue derived stem cells seem to be a promising therapeutical strategy. The article describes the clinical case of a patient suffering from a pharyngo-cutaneous fistula after laryngectomy and radiotherapy. The patient was successfully treated by the injection of fat tissue.
