Objective:to develop and validate instruments to identify health professionals’ beliefs related to the presence of the child’s family in invasive procedures and in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Method:study based on Psychometrics to conduct the theoretical, empirical and analytical stages, developed in a neonatal unit of a university hospital. The two instruments were constructed based on the literature and applied to 96 health professionals. Results:the Cronbach’s Alpha of the instrument related to the professionals’ beliefson invasive procedures was 0.863 and the instrument on cardiopulmonary resuscitation was 0.882. In both instruments, the tests performed indicated a correlation between the items. From the factorial analysis, four factors were generated: (1) benefits of the presence of the family; (2) impairment for professional practice; (3) strategies for the inclusion of the family; and (4) limitation of learning and decision making by the professional. Conclusion:the instruments analyzed obtained a good internal consistency and are indicators of the professionals’ beliefs with the potential to evaluate the quality of family care in this context.

Objective: This is an integrative review study, which aims to analyze the national and international scientific production on the validation of instruments used as tools to enhance pediatric care. Material and Methods: We searched the databases SCIELO, LILACS, CINHAL, PUBMED and SCOPUS, using the descriptors in Portuguese, English and Spanish validation, instrument, nursing. 1278 articles were identified. After inclusion and exclusion criteria, we obtained 21 studies that composed the sample. Results: The presentation of the results and the final discussion were done through descriptive statistics, presented the flowchart and interrelated through the content. Of the studies included in the review, 42.8% were published in 2017. Regarding the type of research, 80.9% were methodological studies. The types of validation most portrayed were content, transcultural and integral adaptation. Conclusion: After analysis, it was possible to identify a growing production in relation to methods considered valid for care in pediatrics, aiming at the transformation of the care practice regarding methodological innovations within the nursing process. Objetivo: Se trata de un estudio de revisión integrativa, donde se objetivó analizar la producción científica nacional e internacional sobre la validación de instrumentos utilizados como herramientas para potenciar el cuidado en pediatría. Material y Métodos: Se realizó la búsqueda en bases de SCIELO, LILACS, CINHAL, PubMed y Scopus, usando las palabras clave en portugués, Inglés y validación española, instrumento, de enfermería. Se identificaron 1278 artículos. Después de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se obtuvieron 21 estudios que compusieron la muestra. Resultados: La presentación de los resultados y la discusión final se realizaron a través de la estadística descriptiva, presentados en forma de diagrama de flujo e interrelacionados a través del contenido. De los estudios incluidos en la revisión, el 42,8% fueron publicados en 2017. En cuanto al tipo de investigación, el 80,9% fueron estudios metodológicos. Los tipos de validación más retratados fueron del contenido, adaptación transcultural e integral. Conclusión: Después del análisis, fue posible identificar una creciente producción frente a métodos considerados válidos para el cuidar en pediatría, anhelando una transformación de la práctica asistencial en cuanto a innovaciones metodológicas dentro del proceso de enfermería. Objective: To evaluate nurses’ perception of the degree of interference of indirect care interventions on the team’s workload and to verify the association between these interventions and the professional and institutional variables. Method: A research survey through e-mail conducted with clinical nurses, unit managers and service managers from eight Brazilian states. A questionnaire containing 28 indirect care interventions and their definitions proposed by the Nursing Interventions Classification was applied. Results: A total of 151 clinical nurses participated, and a response rate of 14.8% was obtained. The indirect care interventions reported as those which most increase the workload were: Preceptor: employee (M = 3.2), Employee Development (M = 3.1), Physician Support (M = 3.0) and Conflict mediation (M = 3.0). Statistically significant associations between the investigated interventions and the institutional variables (legal nature and size) were evidenced. Conclusion: Nurses in different practice scenarios perceive that indirect care interventions influence the workload in a differentiated way, with emphasis on the demands related to the monitoring and qualification of employees.
