“…In our cases, spontaneous abortion observed in 25% among them, whereas incomplete abortion ranked the majority of cases and found in 42.5% and unfortunately 5% of cases were related to trauma. A study was performed by [11] they reported 39.7% had spontaneous abortion at >20 weeks gestational age at his institution.…”

“…Other factors known to contribute to the aetiology of preterm birth that are not amenable to primary prevention include the presence of functional polymorphisms in genes present in the mother and/or fetus that determine the direction and magnitude of proinflammatory immune responses 8 and decidual haemorrhage due to known or unknown causes. 9 There are conflicting reports as to whether the haematogenous dissemination of bacteria to the amniotic cavity from women with periodontal disease increases the rate of preterm birth and whether appropriate dental treatment can improve pregnancy outcome. 10 A consistent observation is the racial difference in the rate of preterm birth.…”

“…In addition, in the present case, the placenta had multiple fibrin thromboses. Fibrin deposition has been reported to have a relation with placental abruption, and some cases of placental surface cysts tend to present with fibrin deposition on the placenta . Consequently, placental surface cysts might be believed to have a relation with placental abruption.…”
