“…The first implication is for future CM research. Although this review demonstrated that telehealth-assisted CM is efficient and efficacious in chronic illness care (Klobucar et al, 2012; Reese et al, 2019), few studies have identified delivery modes for telehealth platforms or types of telehealth CM services that are effective for patients (Margolis et al, 2013; Warren et al, 2013); thus, future studies should explore these areas for chronic illness care. Studies included in this review used a variety of modes of telehealth services, including text messages on mobile phones, Internet contacts on tablet PCs, and mobile applications.…”

“…It is also clear that if this is to be successful, a multi-agency approach which draws on the expertise of numerous professionals will be required. Case management approaches that focus on improving health can be successful (Bambra 2010;Warren, Garthwaite, and Bambra 2013;Warren, Wistow, and Bambra 2014) but they require proper resourcing, and the building of trust between practitioners and service users; they also take time, they do not yield instant results. As such, it would seem unlikely that outsourced providers in the mould of ATOS are likely to find such a process manageable or financially viable.…”
