“…We are of opinion that elderly inoperable patients or those who refuse any further interventions for coronary aneurysm, like in our case, should be managed medically to prevent thromboembolic complications. Earlier reports in this milieu also recommend the use of antiplatelet therapy (with aspirin or clopidogrel) or anticoagulation therapy (with warfarin) in such patients [10]- [13]. The other peculiarity of our case is the presence of a documentation of angiographic progression of the pseudoaneurysm (Figure 2 and Figure 3).…”

“…In literature, stent-assisted coil embolization of aneurysms has been successfully performed in wide-range of intracranial aneurysms and coronary aneurysms [8] [9]. Further, a case report has demonstrated a successful treatment with endovascular coil embolization in a patient with Behçet disease-related giant aneurysm in the RCA [10]. We believe that coil embolization can be a valuable method to treat selected patients with coronary aneurysms who have a suitable anatomy, as demonstrated in our patient.…”

“…The effectiveness and long term outcomes to this technique will have to be studied with serial CT angiography. Primary criteria to assess the outcomes include [1] any potential recanalization with the coil embolization technique along with the regrowth of the sac, [2] intra-aneurysmal thrombosis formation, [3] thrombogenic issue with a stent graft, and [4] any potential luminal area reduction by tissue growth.…”

“…The management of giant aneurysms mostly involves surgical resection [2], however this approach might be technically challenging and there are instances where the operating surgeons face difficulties in ligating the ends of the aneurysm, especially in presence of coexisting ventricular aneurysm [3].…”

“…Furthermore a “stent‐assisted” coil embolization has been described as a valuable option to manage patients presenting with wide‐neck coronary aneurysm . Only a few reports on stent‐assisted coil embolization for CAA have been published and there's no consensus for which stent is better to use . Choice of stent (polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), drug eluting stent (DES), bare metal stent (BMS)) should be determined by the interventional cardiologist and the pertinent clinical details unique to each case.…”
