21001 Study on Performance of Gyromill Type Wind Turbine

Abstract

The gyromili wind turbine which is vert 童 ca ［ −axis llft type was manufactured ， by changing the diameter of a turbine impeller ， solidity was changed and the pe formanee test was done． NACAOO12 ・ was used and it was considered as two −sheet wings ． Chord length： C ＝ 47 mm ， Wingspan ： L ＝ 200mm ， Solidityσ was set as O」5， 0． 225， 0． 3three kinds by changing the diarneter of windmill with 200mm ， 133mm ， 100mm ， Moreover， the wings attachment angle theta was set up by 5 − degree unit from O degree to 30 degrees ， EPP ( Expanded Polypropy 且 ene)and a carbon rod with a light weight and intensity are used fbr the raw material of a wind turbine． The result showed that performance improved as the diameter became large ． It tumed out that there are also likeiy to be an impe】 ler diameter and Reynolds number by mak 正 ng perf ( )rmance into a decide parameteL Key 躍 rords ：wind 加 rbine ， vertica1 −axis lift type， solidity
