21 Level Asymmetric Inverter without Inversion Circuit with Reduced Switch Count for BLDC Motor Drive

Abstract: Design for asymmetrical Multi-Level Inverter without H-bridge and with minimal number of switch is presented in this paper. The proposed circuit is capable of generating 21 levels with only 10 switches and 3 unequal D.C. voltage sources. Operation of the proposed circuit is discussed in detail in this paper and there by framing the switching sequence for the proposed circuit.
