Abstract:In the title compound, C15H10N2O3, the isoindoline ring system is almost planar [maximum deviation = 0.020 (2) Å] and makes a dihedral angle of 1.57 (7)° with the benzene ring. Intramolecular O—H⋯N and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed.
In the title compound, C14H8INO2, the dihedral angle between the isoindole ring and the phenyl ring of the 1-iodobenzene group is 84.77 (15)°. There is a short intermolecular I⋯O contact of 3.068 (3) Å in the crystal.
