(2-Chloro-4-nitrobenzoato)(methanol)triphenyltin(IV)

Abstract: Key indicators: single-crystal X-ray study; T = 100 K; mean (C-C) = 0.002 Å; R factor = 0.024; wR factor = 0.060; data-to-parameter ratio = 33.5.In the title complex, [Sn(C 6 H 5 ) 3 (C 7 H 3 ClNO 4 )(CH 4 O)], the five-coordinate Sn IV atom exists in a trigonal-bipyramidal environment, formed by a monodentate carboxylate group, three phenyl rings and a methanol molecule. The axial sites are occupied by the O atoms of the methanol molecule and the carboxylate group, while the equatorial plane is formed by the … Show more

“…The micro-elemental analyses for data obtained were in agreement with the predicted formula for complexes 1-2. Based on the micro-elemental analysis, it was believed that acetone molecule was present in complex 2 which acted as a solvate molecule [31,32,34,36].…”

“…The organotin(IV) complexes show interesting coordination geometries as well as structural diversity, which could expand from simple, monomeric to polymeric structures [8,[29][30][31][32][33][34][35]. This gives biological significance to the tin complexes where their coordination motives and geometry can be monitored.…”

“…In general, the coordination chemistry of organotin(IV) complexes are extensively studied due to its coordination geometries as well as structural diversity (monomer, dimeric, hexameric and oligomeric) [1][2][3][4][5] . It was also well-documented that the participation of coordinating solvent molecules to tin(IV) atoms moieties and its coordination sphere will influence the overall structural of organotin(IV) complexes 3,4,6 .…”

It was also well-documented that the participation of coordinating solvent molecules to tin(IV) atoms moieties and its coordination sphere will influence the overall structural of organotin(IV) complexes 3,4,6 . And up-todate, numerous studies on organotin(IV) complexes have been carried out in order to study its biological properties against bacterial, fungal and cancer cells line to explore its structuralactivity relationship [7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] .…”
