Abstract:Flicker is one of the most prominent issues in directional backlight autostereoscopic displays. This work studies the flicker characterization over the entire screen with a high‐speed camera. The characterization method shows that it works well to adapt with the practical visual experience and it gives a global quantitative description of the flicker. An artificial intelligent scheme with motion prediction is established to reduce the flicker, which is proved to be effective.
