2,2,2-Trimethyl-N-(2-methylphenyl)acetamide

Abstract: In the structure of the title compound, C12H17NO, the conformation of the N—H bond is syn to the ortho‐methyl substituent, in contrast to the anti conformation observed for the corresponding meta‐methyl‐substituted amide and side‐chain‐unsubstituted N‐(2‐methyl­phen­yl)acetamide.
