“…PET/CT technology generally has higher resolution and accuracy than conventional nuclear medicine technique. 18 F-MFBG PET/CT has been reported to be useful in the evaluation of neuroblastoma 10,11 and pheochromocytoma/paragangliomas 12–15 . Our case indicated that dynamic PET/CT using 18 F-MFBG or possible other PET tracer holds potential as a diagnostic tool for better evaluating GERD.…”

“…Initial studies report that MIBG PET/ CT has a higher lesion detection rate than MIBG SPECT/CT in neuroblastoma patients. 69,70 Ongoing and future research will be instrumental in characterizing the use and limitations of MIBG PET, potentially leading to clinical approval.…”

“…The novel PET radiotracers 124 I-MIBG and 18 F-MIBG, which have the same biodistribution as 123/131 I-MIBG, are being investigated for imaging cancers, which overexpress the norepinephrine transporter such as PPGL. Initial studies report that MIBG PET/CT has a higher lesion detection rate than MIBG SPECT/CT in neuroblastoma patients 69,70 . Ongoing and future research will be instrumental in characterizing the use and limitations of MIBG PET, potentially leading to clinical approval.…”

“…8 Recent publications have shown that 18 F-MFBG PET/CT has significant advantage over conventional 123 I-MIBG SPECT/CT in the evaluation of neuroblastoma. 9,10 The most common locations of metastases from neuroblastoma are bone or bone marrows. Neuroblastomas to the brain usually occur after there had been widespread metastases elsewhere.…”

“…In patients with metastatic pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas, MFBG PET/CT offers a similar or slightly better accuracy than DOTATATE PET/CT 8. Recent publications have shown that 18 F-MFBG PET/CT has significant advantage over conventional 123 I-MIBG SPECT/CT in the evaluation of neuroblastoma 9,10. The most common locations of metastases from neuroblastoma are bone or bone marrows.…”
