Abstract: Cadmium (Cd) is one of the most toxic environmental and industrial heavy metals, with adverse effect on female reproduction. Earlier invitro studies have demonstrated that exposure to Cd during IVM impairs oocyte fertilization through the induction of oxidative stress (Martino et al. 2017 Reprod. Toxicol. 69, 132-145).
