Abstract:Waqfs, with values of contribution, solidarity and benevolence are of primary importance, constituted the most important social, cultural and economic issues life in Ottoman State like in Islamic States. In Ottoman State, the need for many institutions such as mosque, masjid, madrasah, caravanserai, bath, dervish lodge and hospital was met by waqfs.
