Abstract: Introduction Catheter ablation (CA) for atrial fibrillation (AF) is growing exponentially. Although ablation for paroxysmal AF (PAF) is associated with shorter procedure times and less extensive left atrial ablation vs persistent AF thromboembolic complications can occur in both sub-groups.
