“…Patients with a higher total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio had a higher prevalence of proximal and significant CAD on CTA (20). Another CT study in more than 700 patients demonstrated that low-density plaques were independently predictive of the occurrence of an acute ischemic episode over a 3-year follow-up period (21).
