16-19: Real-world Data of Persistent AF Ablation With CF-Sensing Catheter

Abstract: Purpose: Wedging a circular mapping catheter (CMC) into pulmonary vein (PV) is recommended to validate their isolation during wide antral circumferential ablation (WACA). Since appropriate catheter contact has proved crucial for lesion quality, we hypothesize that a contactforce (CF) guided single catheter approach might be suitable and effective for PV isolation (PVI). Methods: With the use of a CF ablation catheter, WACA was performed for both sets of PVs in 50 patients with paroxysmal AF. Antral exit block … Show more

“…There is substantial evidence from the literature that many patients with AF experience reduced HRQoL (57,58,153,154) regarding both physical and mental health. Interventional (such as ablation) (155) and medical treatments (such as rhythm/rate regulation) may improve HRQoL (155,156), but, yet, there are adverse events and side effects of these treatments which afflict the patients. Thus, there is room for introducing self-management programs for patients with AF as an additional treatment.…”

“…The relationship between procedure characteristics and the re-ablation outcome. cryoballoon, the efficiency of PVI significantly increased (13)(14)(15)(16). Currently, the incidence of finding four isolated PVs during the second AF ablation is much higher than before.…”
