144 The Incremental Prognostic Value of Myocardial Contrast Echocardiography in Clinical Practice: Follow-up Results from the Impact of Myocardial Perfusion Assessment in Clinical Tests of Stress Echocardiography (IMPACT-SE) Study
Abstract:Background
The prognostic value of myocardial perfusion (MP), assessed during stress echocardiography (SE) by myocardial contrast echocardiography (MCE), has been shown in research studies but is untested in a ‘real-world’ clinical SE service.
Methods
Patients clinically referred for SE undergoing pharmacological stress, and those doing exercise stress in whom we suspected target heart rate may not be attained, underwent MCE using Sonovue contrast. We documented prospectively patient demographics and SE resu… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
