Abstract:Background
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmias managed by emergency physician. In 2005, a chapter setting out best practice for arrhythmia care and sudden cardiac death (SCD) was added to the National Service Framework for Coronary Heart Disease. This highlighted the need for early diagnosis and expert patient support.
