Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a leading cause of liver-related morbidity and mortality affecting 248 million individuals worldwide. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common occurrence in chronic HBV infection.
