Abstract:Objective: To compare Transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-β1) expression in patients with and without adenomyosis.Methods: A prospective design was performed including 49 patients submitted to hysterectomy. Immunohistochemistry was performed on anatomopathological samples staged in paraffin blocks from patients with and without adenomyosis. The sample contained 28 adenomyosis cases and 21 controls.
