RESUMOA autoestima é definida como a forma que o indivíduo se conhece e se relaciona com o próprio corpo. Atualmente existe uma grande procura pelos procedimentos estéticos entre homens e mulheres tais como as técnicas executadas com bioestimuladores, essa procura aumenta de forma significativa com o processo de envelhecimento, que com o avanço do tempo são influenciados por diversos fatores intrínsecos como idade, e extrínsecos como hábitos alimentares. Consequentemente tais alternativas podem trazer de volta o bem-estar. Com isso, o objetivo desse trabalho é conhecer, através da literatura científica, os bioestimuladores estéticos que são usados no tratamento do envelhecimento na região facial e suas consequências. Métodos: Foi realizada uma pesquisa em bancos de dados através do método de revisão de literatura científica, aplicando-se a análise bibliográfica. Resultados: A princípio foram encontrados 243 artigos científicos que tratavam sobre o assunto com descritores como: Autoestima; Rejuvenescimento; Bioestimuladores; Estética e procedimento, porém após a leitura foram filtrados, de acordo com os critérios de inclusão, 166 artigos, que passaram para a segunda etapa. Na segunda etapa, após a leitura dos resumos e análise na integra, permaneceram 43 artigos que serviram de base para esta pesquisa. Conclusão: Os procedimentos que envolvem o bioestímulo do colágeno e elastina, são os principais métodos para o tratamento facial. Dentre eles o uso da hidroxiapatita de cálcio, do ácido poli-l-láctico, ácido policaprolactona, toxina botulínica do tipo A, ácido hialurônico, microagulhamento e ácidos químicos, são os mais requisitados estimulantes nesse tratamento.

As high-performance athletes age, they become more prone to facial aging due to various factors such as sun exposure, oxidative stress, and intense exercise routines. This review emphasizes the significance of orofacial harmonization (OFH) using non-invasive aesthetic treatment options for athletes. To gather information on contemporary treatments for facial skin management in high-performance athletes, a narrative literature review was conducted using PubMed and EBSCO databases. Articles that involved invasive procedures, had extended post-operative periods, or required prolonged rest were excluded since athletes need to recover swiftly to sustain their training routines. The literature supports the effectiveness of non-invasive procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), topical growth factors delivery, neuromodulators, and tissue bio-stimulators in reducing wrinkles, expression lines, and skin pigmentation in athletes. These interventions also demonstrate improvements in skin elasticity and hydration. In conclusion, non-invasive OFH procedures could help reduce the effects of skin aging in high-performance athletes. However, it is essential to consider the unique needs and recovery timelines of athletes when selecting OFH treatments. Non-invasive procedures with minimal downtime are often preferred to minimize disruptions to training schedules.

Evaluate the Effects of Microneedling in the Treatment of Stretch Marks

Introduction: Stretch marks are classified as linear lesions that appear on the skin due to the external mechanism that triggers tissue stretching and internal mechanism, which occurs due to genetic markers, accelerated growth and muscle mass gain. In the internal mechanism, it occurs due to genetic markers, accelerated growth and muscle mass gain, with an incidence in specific regions such as buttocks, abdomen and breasts. Microneedling is an innovative technique, which aims at the production of collagen through the mechanical stimulus generated by the rolling of the dermaroller, equipment used for the treatment of integument disorders such as stretch marks. Objective: This study aims to carry out a literature review of the regulated microneedling procedure for the use of physical therapists in the treatment of stretch marks. Materials and methods: The present study used an integrative literature review through the analysis of articles published in national and international scientific journals. A critical search of the scientific literature focused on studies that demonstrated positive results in the use of microneedling in patients with stretch marks, using the following indexed databases: Lilacs, Medline, DECs (Descriptors in Health Sciences) and Coleciona SUS (Brazil) . Results: After an initial survey, reading titles and abstracts, 11 articles were found, later, after reading all the articles critically, paying attention to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 05 articles were selected to compose the results and discussion of this article. Conclusion: Through this study, it can be concluded that microneedling is a great option for the treatment of stretch marks, significantly improving their appearance. In addition to its remarkable effects, it must be taken into account that it is a low-cost procedure when compared to others. It was noticed that there are few studies and research that deal with the topic addressed. However, it is suggested that further studies can be carried out with a larger sample and with the isolated use of microneedling in the treatment of stretch marks.
