Objective:to develop and validate instruments to identify health professionals’ beliefs related to the presence of the child’s family in invasive procedures and in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Method:study based on Psychometrics to conduct the theoretical, empirical and analytical stages, developed in a neonatal unit of a university hospital. The two instruments were constructed based on the literature and applied to 96 health professionals. Results:the Cronbach’s Alpha of the instrument related to the professionals’ beliefson invasive procedures was 0.863 and the instrument on cardiopulmonary resuscitation was 0.882. In both instruments, the tests performed indicated a correlation between the items. From the factorial analysis, four factors were generated: (1) benefits of the presence of the family; (2) impairment for professional practice; (3) strategies for the inclusion of the family; and (4) limitation of learning and decision making by the professional. Conclusion:the instruments analyzed obtained a good internal consistency and are indicators of the professionals’ beliefs with the potential to evaluate the quality of family care in this context.

“…No tangente à composição do grupo que julgou os itens que compunham o instrumento de avaliação, há que se ressaltar, além do número expressivo de participantes, que sua composição impacta consideravelmente nos resultados obtidos. A heterogeneidade é um ponto bastante discutidona literatura por proporcionar opiniões diversas sobre um mesmo tema(13) e, por isso, nesse estudo, optou-se, por uma amostra composta por indivíduos de diferentes formações.Na assistência à saúde, é de suma importância o trabalho em equipe multiprofissional para que os objetivos estratégicos e suas metas sejam alcançados e garantam uma assistência de qualidade dentro do tripé de avaliação proposto por Donabedian (estrutura, processo e resultado).Em relação à idade, tempo de formado e tempo de experiência no sistema de medicação, as médias obtidas refletem grande experiência profissional e de vida dos painelistas. Isso permite afirmar que eles apresentavam know-how para julgar, reduzindo as chances de vieses e garantindo a relevância dos itens que representam ações seguras na administração de medicamentos.…”

Objetivo: Construir e validar um instrumento de avaliação do processo de administração de medicamentos. Metodologia: Utilizou-se um desenho não experimental e a sequência da pesquisa metodológica, ou seja, definição do construto, formulação dos itens, avaliação da confiabilidade e avaliação da validade de conteúdo. Resultado: Obteve-se um instrumento com 54 itens divididos em 10 áreas, com nível de concordância entre 90 a 100% e Alpha de Cronbach de 0,94. Conclusão: Pode afirmar-se que o instrumento final é um material de qualidade, que permite o monitoramento dos processos de trabalho que interferem na ocorrência de erros de administração de medicamentos.Descritores: Erros de Medicação; Sistemas de Medicação; Segurança do Paciente; Estudos de Avaliação.SAFE PRACTICES FOR MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION: INSTRUMENT CONSTRUCTION AND VALIDATION.Objective: Construct and validate an instrument for evaluating the medication administration process. Objectives: To conduct a reflective analysis of knowledge acquired concerning the use of acupuncture as a complementary treatment to treat individuals with hypertension; and discuss the contributions of acupuncture to nursing diagnoses among hypertensive individuals and those contributions' implications for nursing practice. Methods: Integrative literature review presenting a theoretical and philosophical reflection regarding the topic in the last five years. Results: The findings were organized into two categories: primary evidence of the practice as complementary treatment to care provided to hypertensive patients; and contributions to care delivery according to nursing-diagnosis based interventions. Conclusion: Evidence shows the potential of acupuncture as complementary treatment and the potential for it to be included in the nursing care provided to hypertensive individuals.Keywords: Hypertension; Acupuncture Therapy; Nursing; Nursing Diagnosis. resumoObjetivos: Realizar uma análise reflexiva sobre o conhecimento produzido acerca da utilização da acupuntura como tratamento complementar à saúde de pessoas com hipertensão; e discutir as contribuições da acupuntura sobre diagnósticos de enfermagem em pessoas com hipertensão e suas implicações à prática do enfermeiro. Conclusão: Existem evidências que apontam o potencial da acupuntura no tratamento complementar de saúde indicando possiblidade de sua inserção no cuidado de enfermagem a pessoas hipertensas.
