Crescimento do louro-pardo, <i>Cordia trichotoma</i> (Vell.) Arrab. ex Steud., na Depressão Central do estado do Rio Grande do Sul.

Abstract

RESUMOEste trabalho teve como objetivos estudar o crescimento em di â metro, volume comercial, incremento corrente anual em percentagem do volume comercial e a dete rminaçã o do fator de forma comercial para o louro-pardo, Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. ex Steud., na regi ã o da Depressã o Central do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Para o ajuste dos dados de crescimento em diâ metro e volume comercial sem casca foram testadas trê s equaçõ es matemáticas, sendo que a equaçã o de Backman resultou como modelo mais eficiente, ajustado em funçã o da idade das árvores. Essa equaçã o també m foi selecionada para o ajuste do incremento corrente anual em percentagem do volume comercial, aj ustada em funçã o do diâ metro à altura do peito (DAP). Para o ajuste do fator de forma comercial a melhor equa çã o foi a quadrática, sendo os valores determinados em funçã o do DAP para facilitar a aplicaçã o prática. O fator de forma comercial variou desde 0,34 para um DAP de 7 cm até um valor máximo de 0,78 para um DAP de 37,1 cm, entre as idades de 20 e 88 anos, respectivamente. O incremento corrente anual em percentagem do volume comercial variou de 18,05% aos 20 anos a 2,22% aos 88 anos de idade. Palavras-chave: dendrocronologia, crescimento, Cordia trichotoma. ABSTRACTThis work had as objectives the study of the growth in DBH, commercial volume, average of annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume and the determination of the commercial form factor for Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. ex steud., in the Central Depression of the Rio Grande do Sul State. The growth data were tested with three mathematical equations, for the adjustment of diameter and commercial volume without bark. The Backman equation resulted as the most efficient model, adjusted in function of the age of the trees. This equation also was selected for the adjustment of the average annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume, adjusted in function of DBH. For the commercial form factor the best equation was the quadratic and the values were determined in function of the DBH to facilitate the practical application. The commercial form factor varied from 0,34 for a DBH of 7 cm to a maximum value of 0,78 for a DBH around 37,1 cm, at the ages of 20 and 88 years respectively. The current annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume varied from 18,05% for 20 years to 2,22% for 88 years of age.
