Abstract:O índice de Apgar foi criado com o objetivo de avaliar o risco de morte e de complicações em recém-nascidos. Para adaptar esse índice à avaliação de mortalidade e morbidade pós-cirúrgicas, foi criado o índice de Apgar cirúrgico (IAC).
