Abstract:This work presents the synthesis of an unprecedented p-cresol-conjugated copper(II) complex as a p-cresol-coupled polydentate ligand, its crystal structure, and catecholase activity. X-ray crystallography reveals that the Cu(II) centre adopts a nearly planar coordination geometry.
