Urban Insecurity, Fragmentation and Fortified Enclaves in the Fortaleza Metropolitan Region

Abstract: The increase in the feeling of urban insecurity has justified the self-segregation of the middle- and high-income layers of society to fortified enclaves in the Fortaleza Metropolitan Region (RMF).
