Performance of colored cotton under irrigation water salinity and organic matter dosages

Abstract: This work evaluated the development of colored cotton submitted to irrigation water of different salinity levels and organic matter doses from tanned manure. The experimental design was completely randomized in a 4 x 4 factorial scheme with 3 replications, totaling 48 experimental plots. The factors studied were 4 doses of organic matter (1, 4, 7 and 10%) and four levels of irrigation water salinity (0.26; 1, 2 and 4 dS m-1). The variables analyzed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of … Show more

“…A Plant height (cm) B Initial growth of zucchini irrigated with saline water in soil with biofertilizers It should be highlighted that the superiority shown by these biofertilizers indicates that they increase soil fertility and function as a plant growth promoter. The results obtained in this study corroborate the data presented by when using crab biofertilizer in corn culture and by Nascimento et al (2019) by fertilizing the cotton culture with an organic source.…”

“…Sousa et al (2018), working with soybean crop, presented a result in line with this study, that is, the bovine biofertilizer increased a larger stem diameter. Similarly, Nascimento et al (2019) also observed an increase in the diameter of the stem when fertilizing the cotton culture with an organic source.…”
