SUMMARY:The management of the geo environmental unit requires the use of decision making techniques and tools. Therefore, the objective of this study was to delimit the hydrographic basin of the Queima Pé stream, quantifying the morphometric parameters for its more sustainable management. The procedure was possible using the free software Quantum Gis 2.18.0 from the cut of the Digital Elevation Model SRTM30 of the study area and estimated the morphometric parameters able of assisting in the management. The area of the basin corresponds to 160.133 km² and the perimeter 101.83 km. The order of the rivers is of 4th order. Measured the flow in seven points and was also estimated by precipitation. The values obtained for the three basin shape parameters indicate that it has an elongated form with a lower risk of flooding under normal rainfall conditions, topography favorable to surface runoff. The stream is neither sinuous nor straight and with low slope, the altitudes can guide to more sustainable crops for the hydrological maintenance since the density of the rivers of 1st order is weak, the coefficient of maintenance will be modified due to the waterproofing of the soil and the daily flow was 19767.46 m³.
