Abstract:Industrial waste products are of biotechnological interest due to their abundance and can be utilized as protein sources for the production of bioactive peptides through hydrolysis. The utilization of yeast residues from the brewing industry has been demonstrated to be a viable method for obtaining protein hydrolysates. The degree of hydrolysis and soluble total protein of the hydrolysates were evaluated for optimization purposes to achieve a product with a high proportion of soluble organic nitrogen, increase… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
