Abstract:Thyroid nodules are a very common finding and have a malignancy rate of 7%-15%. Some malignant nodules have an indolent behavior and may not affect mortality if left untreated. Active surveillance (AS) is a strategy to prevent overtreatment in patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinomas (PTMCs).
