Uma avaliação do Programa Bolsa Família

Abstract: A ONU estipulou objetivos e metas de desenvolvimento para os seus estados membros. O Brasil se comprometeu com essas metas, entre elas o combate à pobreza e a fome. Em 2004 o país criou o Programa Bolsa Família (PBF), um programa de transferência de renda direta aos beneficiários. Este artigo avalia o PBF através do índice Gini, índice Theil e do IDH dos estados brasileiros, retratando o sucesso do PBF, que possibilitou, de 1990 a 2013, mais de 20 milhões de pessoas saírem da situação de pobreza no Brasil.
