Abstract:RESUMO Partindo do pressuposto de Alfredo Bosi (1996), sobre a potencialidade do caráter resistente de uma narrativa, a proposta do presente artigo é analisar a religiosidade popular do candomblé emTenda dos milagres, o romance (1969) de Jorge Amado e o filme etnológico (1977) de Nelson Pereira dos Santos. No romance e no filme, o candomblé surge como lugar de identidade, de resistência e de luta por justiça do povo negro e mestiço.
