O rei como dispensador da graça: autos de livramento crime e cultura jurídica criminal em Curitiba (1777-1800)

Abstract: Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é compreender a configuração, em terras coloniais, da cultura jurídica criminal com vinculação à economia da graça em fins do século XVIII. O estudo é realizado a partir dos autos de livramento crime encontrados entre os anos 1777 e 1800 na vila de Curitiba. Este procedimento da tradição jurídica portuguesa mantinha como prática a rediscussão do cerne da investigação de um crime a fim de prover espaço de defesa ao réu e livrá-lo da culpa imputada.
