Abstract: IBackground: No evidence supports obesity cutoff points recommended by literature for the Brazilian population. Some female/male known cutoff points are: waist circumference (WC) 80/90cm, waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) 0.80/0.90, conicity index (CI) 1.18/1.25, body mass index (BMI) 30.
