Abstract

ReviewersReviewers are selected by the Editors among the IBRACON members with recognized competence in the specific field of each contribution. They are acknowledged at the end of each volume.The second issue of the Volume 7 of the IBRACON Structures and Materials Journal is now released. This issue brings an article on fire design of composite ribbed slabs, a topic not covered by the Brazilian standards in fire. The second article presents comparative analysis of solutions in shallow foundations or in pile foundations for an industrial machine subject to vibrations, discussing the relevance of the dynamic analysis. Another article addresses the technical feasibility and ecological advantage of using sinter feed tailings from iron ore mining as an aggregate in the production of concrete, initially to manufacture precast concrete pavers, but with the possibility of extending its use to other applications. The fourth article approaches the soil-structure interaction in the three-dimensional analysis of frame structures. The fifth article examines the structural design aspects related to the vibrations on floors of urban buildings, induced by the human activities that can motivate some discomfort for their users. The last article addresses the use of galvanization on hot technology for rebars, using a zinc thickness supposed to be consumed before the steel enter in action, comparing with the use of rebars without zinc, aiming at an increase of the service life of reinforced concrete structures.We congratulate the authors and acknowledge the important work developed by the reviewers. Este número traz um artigo sobre o projeto de lajes nervuradas para assegurar as funções corta fogo e de estabilidade estrutural, um tópico não coberto pelas normas brasileiras para situação de incêndio. O segundo artigo apresenta uma análise comparativa de soluções em fundações diretas ou sobre estacas para um equipamento industrial sujeito a vibrações, discutindo a relevância da análise dinâmica. Outro artigo aborda a viabilidade técnica e vantagem ecológica do uso de rejeitos sinter feed de minério de ferro como um agregado na produção de concreto, inicialmente para a fabricação de elementos de concreto pré-moldado para pavimentação, mas com a possibilidade de estender seu uso a outras aplicações. O quarto artigo aborda a interação solo-estrutura na análise tridimensional de estruturas reticuladas sobre fundações rasas. O quinto artigo examina os aspectos de projetos estruturais relacionados com as vibrações em pisos de edifícios urbanos, induzidas pelas atividades humanas que possam motivar algum desconforto a seus usuários. O último artigo aborda o uso de galvanização a quente para vergalhões, com uma espessura de zinco que é consumida antes de o aço entrar em reação, em comparação com o uso de vergalhões sem zinco, visando a um aume...
