Currently, in Brazil, for the assessment of the Positional Accuracy of non-point features (lines and polygons), there is no standard norm of execution. This work aims to compare the results of two methodologies that allow determining the average value of the discrepancies between linear features. The first, Equivalent Rectangle Method, aims to determine the discrepancy by considering an equivalent rectangle for the polygon obtained from the two homologous lines. The second, Double Buffer Method applies a buffer on both lines and obtains the average discrepancy value based on the relation of the areas of the generated polygons. These methods were compared in two steps. Initially, an experiment was performed with features of known measurements, where the displacement of the homologous lines was controlled in azimuth and distance. In this step, it was verified that the shape of the feature and the direction of the displacement interfere in the results of both methods when compared to the traditional procedure of measurement of discrepancies by homologous points. In the second stage, we evaluated the vector data of the OpenStreetMap (class of roads), with reference to a more accurate vector dataset produced for the Mapping of the State of Bahia. As a result, for the 1:25,000, 1:50,000, 1:100,000 and 1:250,000 scales, it was obtained, respectively, the PEC-PCD for the Equivalent Rectangle Method "C", "B", "A" and "A" and the PEC-PCD for the Double Buffer Method "R", "C", "B" and "A", where "R" means that it has not achieved the minimum PEC-PCD classification.

Geometric accuracy is an important attribute of cartographic products and UAV photogrammetry has been gaining market in topographic mapping thanks to high spatial and temporal resolution, however, they need proper evaluation following accuracy standards and protocols. Regarding this, this work evaluates products from digital photogrammetry from images acquired with a fixed-wing UAV (18Mpixel camera) in a 300-380m height flight over a Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) in Brazil. A dataset of 23 ground control points assessed with an RTK-GNSS (using natural targets) was validated with its homologous in the Digital Surface Model (DSM) and the orthomosaic, following a workflow in which the appropriate statistics were applied. Following parametric tests like the Students t-test and the Chi-square, we compared the results with the Brazilian Cartographic Standard for digital cartography, achieving minimum scale of 1: 20,000 (RMSE of 1.04 m) for the orthomosaic, and minimum scale of 1: 10,000 (RMSE of 1.31 m) for the elevation in the DSM, although, no special targets were used. As the 3D mapping generated using the photogrammetry still needs a protocol to evaluate the accuracy, this work applied a proposed workflow respecting the quality of the data to meet the requirements of the cartographic standard.

A ferramenta Basemap do software ArcGIS disponibiliza uma série de informações espaciais como mapas topográficos e ortoimagens que podem ser utilizadas como plano de fundo para compor diversas aplicações. O Basemap também pode ser utilizado para extração de feições a ï¬ m de gerar ou atualizar uma base cartográï¬ca. Entretanto, seu uso é realizado sem nenhum conhecimento sobre a qualidade posicional do mesmo. Para tanto, foi avaliada a acurácia planimétrica de ortoimagens do Basemap para a Bacia Ribeirão São Bartolomeu, no município de Viçosa-MG, aplicando o método tradicional de feições pontuais e três métodos de feições lineares: Banda Épsilon, Buï¬€er Simples e Buï¬€er Duplo. Utilizou-se como padrão de acurácia posicional o Decreto-lei nº 89.817 aliada Ã ET-ADGV. O resultado obtido utilizando o método da Banda Épsilon apresentou classiï¬cação Classe A na escala 1:10.000. Já os métodos Buï¬€er Simples e Buï¬€er Duplo apresentaram resultados semelhantes ao método tradicional por pontos, que por sua vez, foram mais restritivos que o método da Banda Épsilon, classiï¬cando as ortoimagens como Classe B na escala 1:10.000. Por ï¬ m, foi aplicada análise de tendência, sendo veriï¬cada a presença de efeitos sistemáticos nas ortoimagens avaliadas.
