Is life satisfaction associated with the purpose in life of elderly hydrogymnastics practitioners?

Abstract: This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the association between life satisfaction and purpose in the life of the elderly hydro gymnastic practitioners. Methods: A total of 92 older people of both sexes, who practice hydro gymnastics in the city of Maringá, State of Paraná, Brazil, participated in the study. “…Conforme a tabela 5, parece não existir associação linear entre a idade e o propósito de vida dos idosos, ou seja, o aumento da idade não está relacionado ao aumento no propósito de vida. Estes resultados vão ao encontro de Oliveira et al (2019b), que ao avaliarem idosos praticantes de hidroginástica, perceberam que não há diferença no propósito de vida em relação a faixa etária. Mas vai contra o encontrado por Oliveira et al ((2019a), visto que os autores chegaram à conclusão que idosos longevos (80 anos ou mais), apresentaram menores escores de propósito de vida do que os idosos mais jovens (menos de 80 anos).…”
