The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality of life of primary caregivers of children with CP, correlating with the presence of low back pain and motor impairment level of the child. For this research to have been carried out there was the participation of 55 primary caregivers that completed the questionnaires of Roland & Morris (QRM) and WHOQOL-Bref. The evaluation of children's motor impairment was measured by Gross Motor function Classification System (GMFCS). The results show that primary caregivers of children with CP had a loss in their quality of life, especially in the environmental domain and facet pain and discomfort (30.45), negative feelings (34.09), and recreation and leisure (37.27). There were no significant correlations between motor impairment in children with CP, the quality of life of their primary caregivers, and the symptoms of low back pain. However, it was observed that the average symptoms of low back pain are lower in caregivers of children with minor motor impairment (p=0.488), and that there is a significant negative correlation (r=-0.508, p<0.001) between the symptoms of back pain and quality of life of caregivers.

Materiais e Métodos: Este estudo se caracteriza como uma revisão integrativa da literatura. A coleta dos dados foi realizada de agosto a setembro de 2015, utilizando as bases eletrônicas Scielo, Medline/PubMed, PEDro e Lilacs. Os descritores e operadores boleanos utilizados foram congenital hemiplegia OR cerebral palsy AND transcranial magnetic stimulation OR transcranial direct current stimulation. Foram incluídos na amostra artigos publicados entre os anos de 2005 e 2015, nos idiomas inglês, espanhol e português. Resultados: A busca nas bases de dados resultou na coleta de 214 artigos, dos quais 12 preencheram os critérios de inclusão. O maior número de publicações que compuseram a amostra foi publicado entre os anos de 2013 e 2015. Oito estudos aplicaram a estimulação magnética transcraniana (EMT) para realização de diagnóstico, mapeamento cortical e avaliação da função da mão e quatro utilizaram a estimulação por corrente contínua (ETCC) e verificaram seu efeito sobre a distonia e a marcha de indivíduos com PC. Em relação ao tratamento de indivíduos com PC, os estudos mostraram resultados importantes do uso de estimulação transcraniana, sobretudo quando associado à fisioterapia. Conclusão: A pesquisa mostrou que a estimulação transcraniana não invasiva, por meio da EMT e da ETCC, tem sido utilizada na PC com a finalidade de tratamento e diagnóstico. A família é um espaço privilegiado para o desenvolvimento do indivíduo e da sociedade. Assim, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a frequência da estimulação e apoio oferecido à criança no ambiente familiar, baseado na perspectiva dos pais. Participaram 17 mães e dois pais de crianças com paralisia cerebral com idade entre um a 12 anos. Os participantes foram entrevistados em centros de atendimento à criança, instituição educacional e no próprio domicílio. O questionário aplicado foi o EC-Home. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados por meio de métodos descritivos (frequência absoluta, relativa e média aritmética). Os resultados demonstraram que os pais são responsivos às necessidades dos filhos e tentam manter-se próximos deles na maior parte do tempo; oferecem estímulos, principalmente relacionados aos aspectos acadêmicos e de linguagem. Conclui-se que os dados podem auxiliar outras pesquisas na proposição de programas de intervenção focados em famílias, a fim de maximizar a estimulação que pode ser oferecida aos filhos e empoderar os pais, apontados como os principais agentes para o desenvolvimento infantil.
