Abstract:Objective The use of pedicle screws was a milestone for modern spinal surgery. This type of fixation, due to its superior biomechanics, gave greater fixation power, greater capacity to withstand the pulling forces and, therefore, greater stability and lower rates of pseudoarthrosis.
