Penile injury due to constriction by a foreign object is a rare known complication, commonly seen in pediatric age group. We report four cases of penile constriction injury in adults due to various foreign objects and different indications. Between October 2014 and March 2016, four patients (mean age 42.5 years) presented with penile constriction injury with duration at presentation ranging from 18 h to 2 months. One patient had complete transection of the corpus and penile urethra. Three patients were managed successfully with daily dressings followed by split-skin grafting in one patient. One patient required delayed primary suturing after the resolution of local edema. The outcome was satisfactory in all patients with retained erectile function. Early medical attention and management is the key to success in penile constriction injury cases and to avoid complications and morbidity. Prompt removal can be challenging in cases of metal foreign bodies.

A statistical analysis of the Jitter, Shimmer and Harmonic to Noise Ratio parameters was applied to classify and compare genders, vowels and tones of healthy voices. Different type of speech records has used for the comparison, namely records with sustained vowels /a/, /i/ and /u/ at High, Low and Neutral tones. A gender comparison has made denoting differences only in Jitter parameter. The parameters determined in recorded vowels /a/, /i/ and /u/ has also compared and the Kruskal Wallis statistical test showed differences for parameters rap, Shim, ShdB, apq3, apq5 and HNR. High, Low and Neutral tones has compared using the same statistical test denoting statistical differences for all Jitter, Shimmer and HNR parameters. A statistical classification of the mean and standard values for these parameters on healthy voices is also presented.

:While not a new phenomenon, genital incarceration or strangulation is an infrequent urological emergency. Incarceration occurs due to constriction of the genitals by a device such as a metal ring, rubber ring, or rubber band. Localized edema, superficial ulcers, and skin loss are the most common complications of strangulation, but with prompt attention to the injury, patients can have an excellent prognosis. While the technique used to remove the constriction device varies, the urologist should act swiftly but prudently to decompress the genitals. Our case report discusses the epidemiology and anatomy of genital incarceration by two metal cock rings, as well as a novel and safe approach, using the Midas Rex orthopedic drill, to remove the metal rings from the base of the patient's penis and scrotum.
