Abstract: With great relevance, the International Brazilian Journal of Urology brings to its readers important material that points us to the dreaded complication inherent in transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy (TRUS-Bx) and the role of antibiotic prophylaxis against prostatitis (1).
