Nossa capa: primeiro curso de pós-graduação da área médica no Brasil

Abstract

The course of post graduation (master's and doctor's degrees) in infectious and parasitic diseases of Federal University of Rio De Janeiro (UFRJ) was the first one of medical area in Brazil credentialed by Federal Council of Education and classified with maximum concept by Coordination of Staff Improvement of Superior Level/National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CAPES/CNPq) system. Since its creation until today, it already has formed more than a hundred of masters and doctors, performing in several universities and services of public health in Brazil and in foreign countries. Created in 1970, the course has contributed for Brazilian medical science throughout these 39 years of existence, having kept level "A" in all the evaluations accomplished by CAPES, as master's as doctor's degrees. It is one of few courses of post graduation of Medicine College duly consolidated.
