“…Este delineamento, elaborado com o intuito de detectar precocemente o problema e aumentar a adesão ao tratamento, mostrou-se eficaz, apresentando como resultado final uma alta taxa de recuperação do estado anêmico e de aumento dos níveis de Hb. Em Santa Maria (RS), Farias et al 13 , em estudo com 73 pré-escolares, mostraram que 59% dos que tomaram sulfato ferroso e 33% dos que tomaram ferro carbonila persistiram com Hb abaixo de 11,0 g/dL após 90 dias de tratamento. Os resultados aqui apresentados são melhores possivelmente por causa dessa avaliação/intervenção intermediária, a qual merece ser estudada de forma comparativa, com metodologia adequada para verificação de causa/efeito.…”
