The monkey-pepper (Piper aduncum L.) is an herbaceous species and essential oil producer, with biological activities such as insecticidal, antimicrobial, larvacidal and others. The cultivation of the plant is still incipient, being necessary to know the influence of some factors, among them, the light. Thus, the effects of different lighting conditions on the production and profile of the constituents of essential oils from leaves and roots of Piper aduncum L. were evaluated. Plants grown for 150 days in five light conditions: 100%, 70% and 50% of natural irradiance and nets of blue and red colors, also blocking 50% of natural light irradiance. The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation from leaves and roots and analyzed by GC / MS. Roots showed higher amount of essential oil (0.11% w/w), which had no influence on light conditions. On leaves the biggest oil content was observed in 50% brightness (0.085% w/w). The essential oil of leaves was characterized by a high content of sesquiterpenes and roots of phenylpropanoids. The leaves are rich in E-nerolidol, linalol (14.28-16.65%); α-humulene (8.45-10.62%); cis-cadin-4-en-7-ol (7.48-12.24%) and caryophyllene (7.93-12.24%). While the root is rich in apiol (16.27-29.51%). Most major compounds increased in the environment rich in blue light. The variation in the production and essential oil constituents of P. aduncum L. depends on the light conditions and can is related to phenotypic and genetic factors. Therefore control of the light environment in growing conditions makes it necessary for obtaining raw material quality.

Recebido para publicação em 24/02/2015 Aceito para publicação em 03/09/2015 RESUMO: O manjericão (Ocimum basilicum L.) atualmente encontra-se distribuído por todos os continentes e foi introduzido no Brasil com a chegada da colonização italiana. As principais partes utilizadas para comercialização no Brasil são as folhas frescas ou secas. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito de doses da adubação nitrogenada, durante o cultivo na primavera e outono, nas características produtivas e na produtividade de manjericão, Alfavaca basilicão vermelho, em casa de vegetação. O delineamento utilizado foi em blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial 6 x 2, com cinco repetições, onde o primeiro fator foi constituído de cinco doses de nitrogênio e uma testemunha (0,0; 45,0; 90,0; 135,0; 180,0 e 225,0 kg ha -1 de nitrogênio) e o segundo, pelas épocas de cultivo (primavera e outono). Para as características produtivas da cultivar de manjericão Alfavaca Basilicão vermelho, verificou-se que as doses de nitrogênio entre 90,0 a 135,0 kg ha -1 foram mais adequadas, elevando todas as características produtivas avaliadas, do cultivo de primavera. Quando observado o cultivo no outono, teve-se ajuste apenas para a projeção de copa, massa fresca de parte aérea e área foliar. Quando se obteve ajuste significativo, a dose de aproximadamente 110,0 kg ha -1 de nitrogênio foi a que promoveu maior desenvolvimento da cultura. Em relação às épocas de cultivo na primavera recomenda-se o uso de adubação mineral nitrogenada, porém quando esse cultivo é realizado outono, a adubação nitrogenada não é responsiva. The basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) currently is distributed to all continents and was introduced in Brazil with the arrival of Italian colonization. The main parts used for commercialization in Brazil are the fresh or dried leaves. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of doses of nitrogen fertilization for cultivation in spring and fall, the yield characteristics and the productivity of basil, Basil red in the greenhouse. The experimental design was a randomized block, in a factorial 2 x 6 with five replications, where the first factor constituent of five nitrogen doses and one control (0.0; 45.0; 90.0; 135.0; 180.0 and 225.0 kg ha -1 of nitrogen) and by the second, the growing seasons (Spring and Autumn). For the productive characteristics of the cultivar red Basil, it was found that the nitrogen rates between 90.0 to 135.0 kg ha -1 were better, bringing all tested productive characteristics, the spring crop. When observed growing in the autumn, was only fit for the crown projection, fresh weight of shoot and leaf area. Plantas nativas com potencial medicinal têm acentuada valorização mundial, contudo, ainda muitas espécies requerem estudos ecológicos e fisiológicos, que auxiliarão na multiplicação e conservação das espécies. Assim se objetivou, neste trabalho, avaliar o efeito da 6-benzilaminopurina (BAP) associada ao ácido naftalenoacético (ANA) no estímulo de formação de brotações aéreas a partir de segmentos cotiledonares de Tabernaemontana catharinensis e posterior indução do enraizamento em cultivo suplementado com ácido indolbutírico (AIB). Segmentos cotiledonares de plântulas obtidasin vitro foram inoculados em meio de cultivo (MS), contendo diferentes combinações de BAP e ANA: 0,0 x 0,0; 1,0 x 0,1; 2,0 x 0,2; 4,0 x 0,4; 6,0 x 0,6 mg L-1, respectivamente. Após a obtenção de brotações aéreas, as mesmas foram cultivadas em meio contendo AIB, por 30 dias, nas concentrações de 0,0; 1,0; 2,0; 4,0 ou 6,0 mg L-1. A organogênese direta de brotações adventícias foi induzida sem a necessidade de fitorreguladores de crescimento (BAP x ANA) no meio de cultivo. No entanto, houve um incremento no número de brotos e folhas, comprimento e massa fresca das brotações na presença dos fitorreguladores. A rizogênese em brotações aéreas, quando cultivadas em meio enriquecido com 6,0 mg L-1de AIB atingiu 80%. As variáveis: comprimento, massa fresca e número de raízes foram potencializadas com adição de AIB. Portanto, os fitorreguladores de crescimento promovem a obtenção de um maior número de microplantas completas desta espécie, a partir de segmentos cotiledonares cultivados in vitro. Abstract Native plants with medicinal potential have outstanding worldwide appreciation, however still many species require ecological and physiological studies, which will assist in the species multiplication and conservation. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) associated with 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) on the stimulation of shoot formation from cotyledonary segments of Tabernaemontana catharinensis and subsequent induction of rooting in Indolbutyric-acid supplementation (IBA). Cotyledonous segments of seedlings obtained in vitro were inoculated in culture medium (MS) containing different BAP and NAA combinations: 0.0 x 0.00 ; 1.0 x 0.1; 2.0 x 0.2; 4.0 x 0.4 ; 6.0 x0.6 mg L-1, respectively. After obtaining aerial shoots, they were cultivated in medium containing IBA, for 30 days, at concentrations of 0.0; 1.0; 2.0; 4.0 or 6.0 mg L-1. Direct organogenesis of adventitious shoots can be induced without the need for growth phytoregulators (BAP x NAA) in the culture medium. However, there is an increase in leaf number, shoot length and fresh shoot weight in the presence of phytoregulators. The rhizogenesis in shoots when grown in medium supplemented with 6.0 mg L-1 of IBA reaches 80%. The variables length, fresh mass, and root number were potentiated with the IBA addition. Therefore, growth regulators make it possible to obtain a larger number of complete microplants of this species from in vitro cultivated cotyledonary segments. Keywords: Medicinal Plant. Auxins.
