Also, a study conducted in Bangladesh reported the seroprevalence rate of 67% in people over the age of 80 years and the results also reported a rate of 52% -62% in the population over 80 years of Honk Kong (1,15,(19)(20)(21). These results showed that age can be a risk factor for the prevalence of hepatitis E. However, an improved state of health and hygiene conditions in society reduces exposure to the virus over time.…”
