Análise microbiológica da água do Rio Bacacheri, em Curitiba (PR)

Abstract: The planet Earth is made up of a large percentage of water, being only 3% of fresh water. Of this fresh water, approximately 0.3% is available to be used by the planet's inhabitants. For the evaluation of the health conditions of the water, bacteria of the coliform group are use, being their presence in the aquatic environment a potential indicative of pollution, as well as of the risk for presence of pathogenic organisms. Brazil has the highest availability of water on the planet, but in several parts of the … Show more

“…The high presence of E. coli, as discussed by Silveira et al (2018), indicates the presence of fecal contamination. According to Machado et al (2019), this parameter should be considered in defining the classification of water bodies for various uses. The ANOVA results did not show differences in the average values between the periods for the biological parameters chlorophyll a, E. coli and total coliforms (F = 0.52; 0.41; 0.53; p = 0.67; 0.74; 0.67).…”
